It’s a girl. Our farm, that is. Maris Stella is her name, Star of the Sea, in honor of the Blessed Mother. Isn’t she beautiful?
This has been quite a whirlwind week for my little family, hence the light blog posting and no outfit photo today. We made an offer over the weekend, signed the contract on Wednesday, and are at the farm today for the inspection. As you know, dear reader, Devin and I have dreamed of owning a farm for years and actively hunted for the right one for nearly six months, so, when this farm appeared in December, we did not expect great things. We were quite accustomed to waiting in hope. Baby Jesus, however, had other plans and made quite clear that this was His Christmas gift to us.
We are very very very excited, even while we remain clear-headed (because, you never know), and we want to be saints and we want to keep bees and we want to evangelize culture through sanctifying every aspect of the visible world and offering it in love to God the Father. A most blessed weekend to each of you!
